Why should I advertise with Welsh-Homes.com?
Q: Should I use a board?
A: Next to advertising your home in Wales on the our site this is the best
option. How many people have passed your home today, last week or within the
last month looking for a home in your area? The boards are the same
type, size and quality as the estate agents use. They are easy to erect, you
just need a length of wood from your local DIY store or timber merchant.
Remember that local planning laws only allow you to erect one board per
property.
Q: Are there any hidden costs?
A: Absolutely not! You only pay the charges as listed on our site.
Q: Can I change my ad?
A: Yes. As a registered member you have access to a small control panel
which allows you to edit all aspects of your properties on our site.
Q: How long will my ad stay on?
A: Until withdrawn or sold/let. There is no time limit.
Q: How do I add photos to my listing?
A: Using the property control panel you can quickly and easily upload
images of your property, bear in mind that there is an upper filesize limit of
200k and all images must be in the JPEG format.
Q: How do I value my home?
A: Set a realistic price. Check similar homes in the local property papers and
estate agents. You may know a neighbour who is selling or just bought in
your area or recently had a valuation. Do not over- value your home,it will
take longer to sell.
Q: What happens when someone wants to view?
A: When you arrange a viewing,it is advisable to confirm the viewers identity.
You can ask them to do this either by a fax,e-mail or ask them to bring some
form of ID with them. Ask them for a land-line telephone number and ring it
to confirm the viewers details. It is also advisable to have someone present
with you such as another member of your family,a friend or neighbour during
the viewing. As a precaution, lock away all valuables, money etc. During the
viewing highlight points such as good transport links, close proximity to
schools, shops etc. If your home has any features that would benefit a
disabled person,mention it.
Have a print out of the property details including the HIP. Know how much your council tax, gas and electric costs. Remember to mention what fixtures and fittings are included.

details on to a solicitor you appoint to handle the sale. You are welcome to
use one of the reputable companies that advertise on Welsh-homes.com.
